HEXATULLE is a gauze of leno weave impregnated with white Soft Paraffin BP containing 0.5% Chlorhexidine Acetate BP.
VASETULLE is a gauze of leno weave impregnated with White Soft Paraffin BP.
BETATULLE is a leno dressing containing 10% Povidone iodine. It is presented in sterile, individually packaged bags that can be easily opened.
Mechanism of Action
BETATULLE Povidone iodine idophore is an organic mixture with 10% active iodine content. Its spectrum of activity is realized by the slow and gradual release of iodine:
- Bactericidal on all bacteria in the extracorporeal environment in less than 5 minutes
- Fungicide on mushrooms.
- Organic substances (protein, serum, blood, etc.) reduce the activity of free iodine, which is the active form in this property. Iodophors are unstable at alkaline pH. Skin coated with povidone-iodine acquires a brown color that can be easily removed by washing with water.
Indications
BETATULLE is used for the following treatments:
- Acute superficial inflammatory wounds.
- Minor burns, cuts, abrasions, fingertip wounds and bites.
- Minor trauma and postoperative preventive treatments.
- Injuries due to superficial skin loss.
- Leg ulcers, decubitus ulcers, purulent ulcerative wounds.
Mechanism of Action
VASETULLE acts as a barrier between the wound and the secondary dressing. It allows the passage of exudate to the absorbent secondary dressing. Minor wounds and burns, wounds due to tissue loss.
Indications
VASETULLE is for topical use only. It is used to dress wounds, protect them from contamination, keep them moist, and speed up the healing process. Examples of wound types for which VASETULLE is used:
- Minor burns and scalds.
- Lacerations, abrasions and superficial skin losses.
Mechanism of Action
HEXATULLE acts as a barrier between the wound and the secondary dressing and allows the passage of exudate to the absorbent secondary dressing. Chlorhexidine Acetate antiseptic slowly passes from the dressing into the wound and is effective against Gr (+) and Gr (-) bacteria for a long time.
Indications
HEXATULLE is used for topical treatment only. It can be used in combination with systemic antibiotics in wounds at risk of infection and in infected wounds. Examples of wound types for which HEXATULLE is used:
- Minor burns and scalds.
- Lacerations, abrasions and superficial skin losses.
